厄瓜多尔 Ecuador

在登上加拉帕戈斯之前，先抵达的是安第斯山脉里的厄瓜多尔本土。基多的街道、火山脚下的云层、Mindo 的森林与鸟影，像是远行真正开始前的一段序曲：高海拔、潮湿空气、城市边缘，以及南美大陆缓慢展开的颜色。那几天我还没有真正进入海岛的时间，却已经先被山、云和城市提醒，自己正在离熟悉的世界越来越远。

Before reaching the Galápagos, I first arrived in mainland Ecuador, tucked inside the Andes. The streets of Quito, clouds at the foot of the volcano, and the forest and birds of Mindo felt like a prelude before the real distance began: high altitude, damp air, the edge of a city, and the slow colors of South America opening up. I had not yet entered island time, but the mountains, clouds, and city had already reminded me that I was moving farther from the familiar world.
